Downtown furniture store rebranding complete
Itâs not âhush-hushâ anymore.
With the huge new glowing sign visible from the highway, itâs kind of hard to keep it under wraps. Local business owners Joey and Christine Hoechsmann are excited to announce the renaming of The Bedroom Furniture Galleries to Hush Home Furnishings.
The business, which started out with Joeyâs dad, Fred – affectionately known as âWaterbed Fredâ – has seen a lot of growth and change over the years. Today, the store spans more than 25,000 square feet over three floors and four buildings with dozens of top-quality furniture brands.
âA lot of people donât realize how much we have to offer,â said Joey on the decision to rebrand. âThe Bedroom has a lot of history behind it, but it restricts us. People come in all the time saying, âI had no idea you sold appliances! I had no idea you sold sofas!â With a name like Hush Home Furnishings, people will know that we offer a lot more than just bedroom furniture.â
The new name is an homage to the ownersâ own name, Hoechsmann, but no one would be able to spell âHoechs,â so they went with a more accessible version, âHush.â
This name change accompanies a massive renovation and a brand new, awesome look to the front of the store. A common reaction customers had when walking in was, âWow, I had no idea how huge this store is!â The store takes up most of the block, but it was hard to tell from the outside. The renovations unify the storeâs multiple buildings under one stylish stretch that you can see clearly from the highway.
While the name has changed you can still count on the same owners, same great team, and same commitment to stellar customer service youâve seen since 1977, Joey and Christine said, adding they are thrilled about the rebranding as part of their âongoing commitment to making your life more comfortable.â
