Ankors Education – East Kootenay has issued a drug warning for the Cranbrook area.

A drug being sold as ‘Down’ contains high concentrations of Fentanyl and Flubromazepam (benzo).

“Please be careful when using this substance. Both the fentanyl and benzo concentrations are coming in above normal. It’s important to be aware of this in case of the chance of an accidental drug poisoning,” Ankors reported on social media.

It also noted that Naloxone does not work on benzos, so rescue breaths will be the most important part of a poisoning response.
