Every Child Cycles Trade-Up Program introduced
The Every Child Cycles Trade-Up Program is an initiative for Cranbrook and surrounding area to get kids of all ages outside on bikes that work and bikes that fit. Our main goal is to ensure all kids have the opportunity to have a bike.
The program begins when someone comes into our shop to get their child on a bike. If this is the first bike, guests are informed of the Trade-Up program. If the bike is replacing an outgrown bike, guests are still informed of the Trade-Up program but now they are at the stage they get to finally participate.
Any kidsā sized bike (from push bike to 26ā wheels) that is up to two years old qualifies for trade-up. All thatās needed is proof of purchase of the bike to be traded in ā and the trade-in bike can be from any retailer, including department stores.
Guests will receive up to 50% of the original purchase price as a in-store credit toward the next bike. Our program is designed for kids of all ages and all sizes, so this means the Trade-Up Program is valid until we get them into their first adult sized bike.
All trade in kidsā bikes will be put through a safety checklist by our technician. From there, we will donate each and every kidsā bike to a child who may not have a means to get a properly sized bike or a bike at all.
Our plan is to reach out to sectors like schools that can help facilitate what children need bikes the most.
