Fire near JimSmith Lake extinguished

CFES confirmed at 5:30 p.m. (July 9) that this fire has been extinguished.

After some initial difficultly locating it, Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services (CFES) arrived at the scene of a small bush fire located off Michel Road near JimSmith Lake, southwest of Cranbrook, at about 2 p.m.

According to the BC Wildfire Service the estimated size of the fire was 0.009 ha.
