Five stolen bikes located-three to go

Five of the eight bikes that were stolen from Mount Baker Secondary School have been recovered.

Over the past couple of weeks, Cranbrook RCMP has been able to recover five of the eight bikes that were stolen from Mount Baker Secondary School.  A member of the Enhanced Response Unit with the Cranbrook Detachment was able to locate four of the stolen bikes while the fifth was located during patrols in the city.

“Cranbrook RCMP is thankful to residents who provided video and sightings of the bikes. We are happy to have found five but would love to help the high school out and get all eight back,” said Cst. Katie Forgeron.

“We are still hoping to recover the remaining bikes. Two red and one black Trek Marlin (pictured right) are still missing,” Forgeron added.

Anyone who might have information with regard to this incident is asked to contact the local office at 250-489-3471.

The public is also advised they can remain completely anonymous by calling a tip into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving a web-based tip.
