City of Cranbrook residents living in neighbourhoods from 1st Avenue South to 12th Avenue South between 15th Street South and 19th Street South may notice discoloured water over the next day or two, as the city’s water system flushing operations resume Thursday.

If you experience discolouration in your water, please run your cold water tap until the water runs clear. This discolouration is not a public health concern.

The annual flushing program is done each year to ensure water mains are clear of sediment in order to provide the best water quality possible to your home and business. The city will continue to provide updates regularly, so you know where the flushing program is moving to next.
