Fort Steele hosting special Father’s Day
Fort Steele Heritage Town will once again blossom into full celebration mode on Sunday, June 18, with a special Father’s Day planned.
Appearing in conjunction with Sam Steele Days festivities in Cranbrook, the Sam Steele Scouts (pictured above) will be at the fort all weekend long.
Special for Sunday are $2 steam train and horse-drawn wagon rides, while dads ride for free!
There will be gas and steam small engine demonstrations at the Train Station, as well as trade demonstrations, live entertainment, live street theatre and BBQ lunch at the Train Station.
Also open will be the City Bakery, Kershaw & Son General Store, Carlin & Durick Dressmaker Shop and the gift shop and Fort Steele Cafe in the Visitor Reception Centre.
There will also be another barbecue at the International Restaurant.
Located on Highway 93/95 north of Cranbrook, Fort Steele Heritage Town is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
