Four arrested in drug bust
On the evening of January 25, members of Cranbrook RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, General Investigation Section, and General Duties, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 1500 block of 1A Street South, Cranbrook, as result of an investigation by the Cranbrook RCMP Crime Reduction Unit.
A 22-year-old male was arrested and police seized a substantial amount of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and a substantial amount of cash. That male, who police say is not from the city, will be facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Three other adults (two females and one male) from the Cranbrook area were also arrested and will be charged with possession of a controlled substance. The male from the apartment is currently being held to undergo a bail hearing, reported S/Sgt. Hector Lee, Cranbrook RCMP Detachment Commander.
