Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Kootenays is alerting the public about a fraudster misrepresenting the organization.

“It has been brought to our attention that someone is going around our community impersonating CMHA Kootenays and asking for donations for the Kootenay Haven Transition House,” the association noted on social media.

“This statement is to confirm that we do not have any ongoing fundraisers for the Kootenay Haven Transition House.”
