Glass Tiger take Key City crowd back to 1986

Glass Tiger took attendees back to 1986 with their recent acoustic set at the Key City Theatre.

With timeless mega hits such as “The Thin Red Line” and “Don’t You Forget About Me” it is hard to believe that 40 years have passed since they burst out on the music scene to take over the airwaves and MuchMusic.

With fellow founding members, Alan Connelly on guitar and Sam Reid on piano, vocalist Alan Frew entertained the crowd with his humour and stories behind their songs.

The ensemble included Russell Gray on bass and Carmela Long as backing vocalist.

The 500 plus crowd also got the opportunity to sing along as a group demonstrating the power of that many voices.

Stripped down to the basics, the strength of their songwriting and musicianship was made abundantly clear.
