Heat welcome 13 teams to town

The Cranbrook Heat fastball team is hosting the Under 16 C-division Provincial Fastball Championships in the Key City this weekend (July 1-3).

The 14 to 16-year-old local girls are taking on the following 13 teams: Central Saanich (Extreme Heat and Extreme Bullets), Duncan Rivercats, NS Thunder, RGSA Lightning Bolts, Low Riders, Fleetwood Jr. Bandits, North Surrey Nitro, Chilliwack Crushers, Her-Ricanes, Summerland Scorch, Enderby Storm, Kamloops Diggers, Barriere Cedar Kings and RM Bombers.

The championship tourney games are running all weekend at the Kin Quad Ballpark.
