ICE hosting community events
The Kootenay ICE continue to reach out to the community in a bid to re-acquaint the Western Hockey League franchise with Cranbrook and the East Kootenay.
With that in mind two community events are being held to allow for that to take place, beginning this Saturday (June 3) with a Drive to 25 family barbecue at Bridge Interiors.
The event will be hosted at Bridge Interiors located at 125 Slater Road NW and feature numerous prize giveaways, special guests and activities for the whole family. The BBQ will take place from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., with hot dogs, chips and pop provided free of charge or with a donation to the Kootenay ICE education fund.
And on Thursday, June 8, the club is holding a Drive to 25 Corporate Kick Off from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Prestige Inn.
“This event will provide an opportunity for the ICE to thank the corporate community for its support and we will also unveil our corporate programs available for the 2017-2018 season,” explained ICE president and general manager Matt Cockell.
