The City of Cranbrook is warning drivers to please be aware of extremely icy road conditions around the city and the region this morning (January 4).

“Our roads crew with Public Works have sanded and salted about 95% of our major routes, but are struggling to get everywhere because some of the hills are too icy to get our trucks up them,” the city noted.

Please use extreme caution if you need to travel around town today.

Slow down, leave plenty of extra space to slow down and stop and leave extra space between you and other vehicles.
