Images of Remembrance
All the communities in the East Kootenay observed Remembrance Day at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, at cenotaphs lined with those who wished to show their support and gratitude to those who made the greatest sacrifices for our liberties and freedoms.
From Elkford to Edgewater, Royal Canadian Legion members, veterans and those currently serving in Canada’s military and public safety organizations gathered on the solemn and important day of remembrance, while thousands of citizens gathered around them in support.
A couple of thousand people once again packed Cranbrook’s Rotary Park Sunday morning to witness a touching and powerful Remembrance Day service.
The following is a pictorial of the service. Please click on images to enlarge.
