KCA remembers
Kootenay Christian Academy was honoured to have many veterans, Royal Canadian Legion, Service members and City of Cranbrook Mayor Wayne Stetski attend their Remembrance Day Service on Friday Nov. 8.
About 100 people attended the service, in addition to staff and students. The audience stood in honour as the veterans, Legionaires, and Service Members were traditionally piped into the service. Students, classes and the senior band shared moving presentations both verbally and vocally. It was also very emotional to hear a Legion representative, Harold Garrison, and two service members, Leah and Shawn Byrne, share the significance of Remembrance Day in their speeches.
