Key City celebrates a decade of musicals with TEN
Key City Theatre is turning up the spotlight on ten years of unforgettable musical theatre with TEN, a concert-style celebration of the songs, stories, and performers that have helped define a remarkable decade on the Key City stage.
Featuring showstopping numbers reimagined from past productions, TEN brings together beloved returning performers and exciting new voices for a high-energy theatrical event that honours the legacy of Key City Theatre’s musical productions while looking ahead to what comes next.
Part concert, part celebration, and all heart, TEN will revisit favourite moments from ten years of musicals including iconic hits, powerhouse solos, dazzling ensemble numbers, and a few surprises along the way. Audiences can expect an evening packed with nostalgia, talent, and the kind of theatrical magic that has made Key City Theatre’s musical productions such a cherished part of the community.
“For me, these big musicals have always been about more than just what happens on stage,” said Brenda Burley, the Director behind ten January productions, and TEN.
“We have built a real community. These production bring people together across generations and experience levels, and give us something joyful, creative, and meaningful to pour ourselves into during the darkest months of the year. That has been part of their magic from the very beginning.”

Designed as a sleek and dynamic concert experience, TEN will feature a simple but striking visual style, bold lighting, dazzling costumes, and a fast-paced lineup of songs that showcase the range, passion, and talent that have become hallmarks of Key City Theatre productions.
Over the past decade, these large-scale local productions have become a defining part of Key City Theatre’s artistic identity. They have created space for emerging performers, welcomed seasoned artists back to the stage, and fostered a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and pride that extends far beyond any single show.
“These productions have helped shape the culture of Key City Theatre in a profound way,” said Galen Olstead, Executive Director of Key City Theatre.
“They have deepened our connection to this community, strengthened our identity as a place where local artists can do exceptional work, and become one of the ways people most strongly recognize themselves in this theatre.”
More than a retrospective, TEN is also a thank you to the artists, volunteers, creative teams, crews, and audiences who have helped make the last ten years possible.
From first-time performers stepping into the spotlight to loyal audience members who return year after year, TEN is a celebration of the people who have built something special together.
TEN will take the stage at Key City Theatre on October 9 and 10.
