You are invited to join in at Auntie Barb’s Catering on September 23 from 4 – 8 p.m. for a launch of the Leslie Long Rescue Fundraiser.

Many of us by now have heard of Leslie Long’s Pet Rescue and all the amazing things she does for animals.

As vet bills pile up for Leslie, volunteer fundraisers are gearing up their auction page once again (they’ve already supported Girl Guides, Bugle Band and Karate) and are accepting donations of items for the rest of September.

The fundraiser is an online auction (Facebook only) that will run for 50 hours, which begins Friday, Sept. 30 at 8 a.m. and ends Sunday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m.

Bids must be in .50 cent increments or more. The winning bid prior to 10 a.m. on Sunday, October 2 will be the winner.

Pickup will be Sunday evening to Tuesday (2 to 4), from Leslie Long in Cranbrook, contactless pickup available.

Unless other arrangements are made for a different date of pickup. Info will be sent out to the winners via Facebook message.

The Sept. 23 BBQ will feature grab and go boxes available (they will fill and you take home) , with burgers, smokies, riblettes, chicken, salads/sides, and desserts, as well as coffee/tea and non-alcoholic beverages.

There is also bar service available inside.

There will also be a trailer onsite all day for a bottle drive; drop them off any time.

Come join in and help Leslie and her volunteers save more animals!
