The smell of pancakes, burgers and smokies wafting through town is a sign that Sam Steele Days is upon us once again. The annual community festival and sports weekend extravaganza launched this morning with the Tamarack Centre Pancake Breakfast and things stayed delicious over lunchtime at the Cranbrook Public Library as Friends of the Cranbrook Library volunteers held their annual Kick-Off Barbecue.

The library barbecue runs until 2 p.m.
