Lights return to Victoria Avenue and 2nd Street N Oct. 27

The traffic lights at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and 2nd Street North are set to be operating again starting on Monday, October 27.

The intersection has been a temporary four-way stop since late August due to a structural issue caused by the Victoria Avenue construction on one of the traffic light poles.

The electrical contractor has successfully completed reinstating the new traffic lights, cameras, and new wiring at the intersection.

A traffic light programmer from Econo Lite, the camera supplier, will be on-site late this week to program and commission the new cameras. Once complete, the upgraded system will be fully operational.

It has been a long wait for this intersection to return to normal. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the community while these repairs were made.
