Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services was proud to sponsor four incredible local young women—Abigail Chippett, Isabella Savage, Marley Krahn, and Meri Patterson—at this year’s Kootenay Ignite in Creston from July 11 to 13.

Kootenay Ignite is an amazing program that gives young women hands-on experience in the fire service, including auto extrication, high angle rescue, entanglement scenarios, and firefighting techniques.

All four had an unforgettable weekend and came away even more inspired to pursue a future in firefighting.
