Lotto win brings new opportunities for Cranbrook couple

Erica Seward’s life took an exciting turn when she matched all six numbers plus the extra in the June 11 Lotto Max draw to win $425,810.

Seward initially told her husband Ron about her big win. The second person she told was her daughter, who couldn’t believe it was true.

“My daughter Jenny was the first person I told besides my husband,” said Seward. “She kept saying ‘Oh my gosh mom! Really?’”

Being avid travellers already, Seward and her husband plan to use the winnings to continue to see the world.

“My husband and I would like to go on a Mediterranean cruise and take the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. We love to travel, and this win will enhance our experiences,” said Seward.

Along with travel, Seward is excited to be able to support organizations like the SPCA, because she is a big animal lover and advocate.
