A vehicle crashed through a business in town yesterday evening.

At about 7:30 p.m., Cranbrook RCMP was called by an employee to a business in the 1500-block of Cranbrook St N.  The employee advised that a vehicle had just crashed into the building.  RCMP arrived on scene and were directed to two individuals who had been in the vehicle.

“Investigation revealed that the driver of the motor vehicle appeared to be in medical distress, resulting in the vehicle going into the building,” said Cst. Katie Forgeron.

The driver was taken to East Kootenay Regional Hospital for assessment.

“Thankfully no one inside the store was injured during what was surely a scary experience for all involved,” added Forgeron.
