Current and former College of the Rockies’ Hairstylist students, along with other area hairstylists, were mesmerized by an African weave demonstration on February 4. Mareme Gueye, who came to Canada from Senegal about a year ago, demonstrated the process which involves tightly braiding the natural hair before sewing a wig into the braids. Veronica, a nursing student at the college, was Mareme’s willing model.
