New overhead pedestrian activated crossing lights are being installed along Highway 3 at the intersection with Cranbrook Street.

The Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure is currently undertaking the work, following strong advocacy and support by the City of Cranbrook for this important highway safety improvement.

Please exercise caution through the work zone, slow down for the construction crews, and obey any and all signage in place while the work is completed.

This is the first project in a continued push from the city for improved active transportation infrastructure and highway upgrades in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure.
