While the pandemic deepens and the death toll rises, financial markets crash, toilet paper disappears and solitude becomes wide-spread, Cranbrook gas stations continue charging usurious gasoline prices. Local prices (113.9 as of 19 March) are 4.5 cents higher than Vancouver. And, a whopping 39 cents higher than Calgary. While the world isolates, waits for the worst to pass and hopes for the best, Cranbrook gas stations gouge consumers, forcing them to pay exorbitant prices for a necessary commodity.

Worse than hoarding butt tissue and hand sanitizer, gasoline profiteering.
