It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to “Papa Don”

Survived by his loving wife Ena, Children Marianne & Kathleen Riley, Robert Campbell, Cathy & Barry Bauer, Brother David & Betty Riley, Sister Carol-Ann & David Staples and Sister Mary Riley and her mother Mabel Riley, Sister in-law Donna & Alvin Franz, Sister in-law Helen & Patrick Power, Sister in-law Johanna Darbyson, Sister In-law Johanna & Bob Malone, Brother in-law Edward & Marion Darbyson, Brother in-law Percy & Sandy Darbyson, Brother in-law William & Anne Darbyson. The loves of his life, his grandchildren Ryan, Brennon & Aaron Bauer and Lily Marshall, Christoff & Evan Campbell. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and very special friends.

A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. McIver who went above and beyond duty.

Don was predeceased by his father Albert Riley in 2006 and his mother Edith in 1961. He served his country proud while serving in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Cranbrook. Don loved to golf with his buddies and was blessed to have had the opportunity to travel.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 20th at 10am Royal Canadian Legion ~ Cranbrook BC In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24
