Parkland students tour Spray Irrigation facility
Grade 8 students from Parkland Middle School toured the City’s Spray Irrigation facility, with City Public Works Director Joe McGowan on Wednesday, October 19, as part of the Columbia Basin Trust initiative, ‘Know Your Watershed.’
Know Your Watershed is a Columbia Basin Trust (CBT) water stewardship education program which is regionally-based and aimed at grade 8 science classes. This hands-on education initiative, launched in fall 2010, helps students understand where their water comes from, how it is used and where their water goes after it is used.
