Police seeking witnesses to aggravated assault
Cranbrook RCMP is currently seeking witnesses to an aggravated assault which occurred yesterday.
On Thursday, May 11 at about 6:30 p.m., Cranbrook RCMP received a report of a fight on the “berm” in the 1400-block of Ridgeview Road. The caller advised there were multiple people involved.
RCMP located a man suffering from a serious head wound. He was transported to East Kootenay Regional Hospital where he remains in serious condition.
“We have been actively investigating this incident and have extensive resources searching for the individuals involved,” said Cst Katie Forgeron.
“At this time, we are asking anyone who might have any information about this assault to come forward to help us advance the investigation,” Cst. Forgeron added.
Anyone who might have information with regards to this incident is asked to contact the local office at 250-489-3471. The public is also advised they can remain completely anonymous by calling a tip into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
