Cranbrook RCMP is asking the public for information after a man was found with gunshot wounds close to East Kootenay Regional Hospital yesterday (Feb. 10).

RCMP responded to a call of a male victim located on the roadway near the hospital with gunshot wounds at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The injuries were deemed non-life threatening and he was released from hospital after being treated, RCMP today reported.

“It was apparent during the investigation that the male victim was dropped off near the hospital and the original scene of the incident is still unknown,” reported Sgt. Shayne Parker.

The RCMP is asking the public for assistance in providing any information they may have regarding this incident.  Please call 250-489-3471.
