Cranbrook RCMP, along with Major Crimes Units from the Lower Mainland, have been working tirelessly in their efforts to determine what happened on the night of March 29 that led to the death of a 73-year-old Cranbrook woman.

RCMP reported this morning they believe that the victim met with foul play but are unable to provide any more information at this time.

“Cranbrook RCMP would like to ensure the public that they are not at risk. Through diligent work, investigators have identified a person of interest, who is presently in custody on unrelated matters. The investigation is on-going,” stated Cst. Katie Forgeron.
