Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services (CFES) responded to and knocked down a garage fire late this morning (March 5).

However, CFES reported on social media that a resident “received minor injuries trying to control the fire prior to our arrival, and looks to fortunately be in good health.”

The fire was located near 14th Street and 8th Avenue South, CFES reported.

“We stopped the fire from spreading to nearby structures,” CFES said.
