Rising star coming with Buckcherry and Steel Panther

Rising rock musician, actor, songwriter and film producer Kurt Deimer will be coming to Cranbrook on Tuesday, April 22 at Western Financial Place supporting Buckcherry and Steel Panther on their extensive co-headlining trek, The Northern Exposure Tour, as he prepares to release his debut album, And So It Begins.

At an age when most people start thinking about slowing down, Kurt Deimer is chasing his lifelong music dreams and releasing his debut full-length album. And So It Begins, out May 9 via Bald Man Records, draws on a wealth of life experience from the Cincinnati, Ohio native, who started his first rock band at age 20 but ended up taking a more conventional route as a young man.

The 17-track versatile collection includes Deimer’s newest single Big Toe (just released March 14). The new moody epic is a song of hope, featuring impressive guitar solos from Phil X (Bon Jovi), elevated by the drama of Deimer’s husky and uniquely deep register.

Elsewhere on And So It Begins is recent single Live Or Die, hailed as “new classic rock” by RIFF Magazine, as well as the previously released Dance, Hero and Fight. The album covers a ton of stylistic ground from thunderous hard rock riffs to funk-metal as well as covers of Pink Floyd and The Doors – natural for a musician interested in everything from AC/DC to R.E.M. to Widespread Panic.

Watch the official music video, directed by Paul Boyd (Neon Trees, Dave Stewart, Shania Twain).

There’s also a jaw-dropping guest spot from Queensrÿche legend Geoff Tate on the track Burn Together and the expressive guitar work of Phil X is heard throughout the album, adding another layer of sophistication to the diverse range of material on And So It Begins.

The expansive and cinematic rock spectacle was produced by five-time GRAMMY-winning producer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Breaking Benjamin) and co-written with Phil X.

Kurt Deimer

In a few short years, Kurt Deimer has made a name for himself in the hard rock scene with his headbanging guitar riffs and socially conscious, anthemic lyrics. His rise in the music industry began when Brian Wheat of Tesla was so impressed by Deimer’s live performance and music while watching him open for the iconic band that Wheat invited Deimer to join Tesla on the road. This opportunity fueled Deimer’s passion to push his music career further, leading to the release of his debut EP, Work Hard, Rock Hard, in late 2021.

The acclaimed collection – hailed by Metal-Rules as “a fierce and diverse EP with no filler songs or shortage of big riffs, blues bravado vocals, and brilliant guitar playing” and by Sonic Perspectives as “a colossal display of raw intensity” – launched the powerful musical partnership of Deimer and Phil X, combining Deimer’s anthemic vocals with Phil X’s thunderous riffs.

Deimer has spent the last few years relentlessly touring, sharing the stage with other major acts including Geoff Tate, Drowning Pool, Skid Row, Buckcherry, and Sebastian Bach and just appeared on the Monsters of Rock Cruise.

In addition to his growing music career, the multi-talent and successful businessman is a flourishing actor, spearheading his own horror movie franchise ‘Hellbilly Hollow’ as both star and producer. Deimer’s acting career took off when he appeared in John Carpenter’s 2018 “Halloween,” portraying a pivotal role alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and facing off against the infamous Michael Myers as the teller. His latest feature film is ‘Scared To Death’(2024), written and directed by music video veteran Paul Boyd.

Kurt Deimer’s relentless positivity and unwavering perseverance have propelled him to multifaceted success across the entertainment industry, with his winding journey and hard-hitting rock songs leaving the listener with an overarching message of hope: It’s never too late to make shit happen.
