Rock the Kootenays off to a rolling start
Rock the Kootenays 2025 kicked off Friday night with three Canadian bands that broke out respectively in the 1970s, the ‘80s, and the ‘90s: Streetheart, Honeymoon Suite and The Odds.
Lead singer of the Odds, Craig Northey (pictured below) spoke about how he has family in Cranbrook and visited here in his youth, while other band members showed off their geographical knowledge of the area naming various cities.
Paul NcNair, lead singer of Streetheart, sported a Cranbrook Bucks hockey jersey for part of their set of classics.

Don’t miss more music today (Saturday) beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Western Financial Place with Five Man Electrical Band, Men Without Hats, The Trews and 54-40.
The festival closes out on Sunday beginning again at 3:30 p.m. with Haywire, Aaron Pritchett, Sweet and Colin James performing.
