Rockies Car Show A Warm Embrace for EKFH

Cranbrook’s Pop Price Park and Bridge interiors were alive with the bright, shiny sights of a plethora of classic and antique vehicles July 22 during the Rockies Car Show.
Along with a vast array of beautiful vehicles, the event featured live music from a Bridge Interiors rooftop stage, a beverage garden, dunk tank, food trucks, kids’ games, a mister to help ease the 34 C heat and much more.
The free car show was in collaboration with the East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH), supporting the ‘A Warm Embrace’ campaign, striving to amass $1.8 million towards a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
EKFH executive director Brenna Baker noted on social media that $65,000 has been raised “with more money still coming in!
“A huge thank you to Kenny Bridge and his team from Bridge Interiors, all of the sponsors, the amazing bands who donated their time, the donors, the car show participants, and all of the volunteers! It was a fantastic event and it takes a huge amount of effort, time and people to create something amazing! We will keep everyone updated on the exact total very shortly,” Baker stated.
