Rockies Film Festival and Series hosting mini fest
The Rockies Film Festival and Series is ready to host a mini-festival Nov. 17, 19 and 20.
Three films are on tap at Key City Theatre beginning Thursday, Nov. 17 with âHappening.â
A powerful drama about a young woman’s unwanted pregnancy and choices, Happening starts at 7 p.m. (the film is in French with English sub-titles).

The second film, âThe Phantom of the Open,â is Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
Hilarity ensues when a registrant to the British Open shoots the worst round in history. Based on a true story illustrating the importance of pursuing your dreams, the comedy starring Mark Rylance and Sally Hawkins.

And the third film, âFire of Love,â is at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20.
The most moving film of the year is a documentary about volcanoes. The Kraffts loved two things – each other and volcanoes. Follow these bold explorers as they venture into the unknown, all for the sake of love.
