Scouts announce annual Christmas Tree Pickup event
The 4th Cranbrook Scouts are offering a helping hand to the community this new year by holding their annual Christmas Tree Pickup event on Saturday, January 10.
This initiative provides a hassle-free way for residents to dispose of their holiday trees while supporting a great cause.
This is a free community service provided by the Scouts, though a suggested donation of $10 to $20 is greatly appreciated to support youth programming.
Residents who wish to participate are asked to register by sending an email to [email protected] or contact Scouter Brett Watson at (250) 420-1979, and place their Christmas trees outside their homes for pickup no later than 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 10.
The Scouts will be out collecting trees throughout the day.
One hundred percent of the funds raised from this annual event go directly towards supporting youth programming in our community. Beyond fundraising, this event helps teach youth the value of giving back to their community.
Donations are gratefully accepted in cash or cheque attached securely to the tree, or via e-transfer to [email protected]. Your support ensures the continuation of valuable programs for Cranbrook’s young people.
