Organized by Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary, the second annual Kootenay Rockies Kids Fondo is being held Sunday, May 29.

Sponsored by the East Kootenay Community Credit Union, the event features three course options: Flat 8 km and 16.4 km and a more hilly 20.4 km, for ages six to 13.

Check in is 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. and the start time will be 10 a.m. at St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino.

The cost per participant is $25.

Each participant receives a T-shirt, water bottle, Cliff Bar, barbecue lunch, mechanical and medical support, mid-course aid station

The Kids’ Fondo is deigned to be a fun cycling experience on the quiet backcountry roads. Participation is the key.
