At the East Kootenay Children’s Festival, the Cranbrook chapter of the ACT/UCT service club (Associated Canadian Travelers/United Commercial Travelers) provided a generous donation of $500 to Bellies to Babies Pregnancy and Family Resource Program. Infant and children’s car seats will be purchased with this funding. Families receiving the car seats will be provided with information and assistance to install seats in vehicles safely. Presenting the cheque to Pat of Bellies to Babies are Elly Opdenkelder (left) and Marilyn Cumming (right), members of the service club working with Bellies to Babies to enhance the safe travel of children in Cranbrook.
