Spirit of the Rockies ’25 theme an ode to Cranbrook Library
The Spirit of the Rockies Society is thrilled to announce the official theme for the 2025 festival: ‘The Spirit of Stories: Celebrating 100 Years of the Cranbrook Library.’
This theme honours a century of community connection, knowledge, and the enduring power of storytelling, coinciding with the Cranbrook Public Library’s momentous 100th anniversary.
“We are incredibly excited to partner with the Cranbrook Public Library to celebrate their 100th anniversary,” said Missy Besanger, Chair of the Spirit of the Rockies Society. “The library is a cornerstone of our community, and ‘The Spirit of Stories’ provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase its impact on our community. The library will bring a story telling tent and pop up library to the Grand Central Fairgrounds on top of the Friends of the Cranbrook Public Library’s annual Kick off to Spirit of the Rockies BBQ!”
The society is thrilled to bring back the Business Dress up and Window Decoration contest. “Think of ideas like Harry Potter, Bridgerton and Dr. Seuss, the ideas are only limited by your imagination!”
“The Cranbrook Public Library is honoured to be a part of the 2025 Spirit of the Rockies festival,” said Ursula Brigl, Chief Librarian of the Cranbrook Public Library. “This celebration will allow us to share our story with the community and express our gratitude for their unwavering support over the past 100 years. We are excited to see the stories that will be shared during the festival.”
The Spirit of the Rockies Festival is gearing up for an unforgettable experience June 19 to 22 in Cranbrook.
With a lineup of over 40 events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. From thrilling sports events to live music performances featuring local bands and acts, the festival promises non-stop excitement.
