Spirit of the Rockies off and running
It’s Spirit of the Rockies time in Cranbrook.
The city’s biggest festival runs June 19 to 22 at venues, parks and businesses across the city.
The theme for Spirit of the Rockies Festival 2025 is ‘Spirit of Stories: Celebrating 100 Years of the Cranbrook Public Library.’
So it was only fitting to photograph Friends of the Cranbrook Public Library’s kick-off barbecue at the venerable library, celebrating its centennial birthday.
A small army of Friends volunteers served a much larger army of hungry Thursday lunchtime residents and visitors.
Remember to purchase your festival buttons or you might end up the hoosgow.
And don’t forget the St. Eugene Grand Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. downtown tomorrow morning (Saturday, June 20) – the first day of summer. (Might want to bring umbrellas and rain gear, we sadly suggest.)
