Spirit of the Rockies runs June 15 to 18
Spirit of the Rockies Festival is almost here!
There is something for everyone over the four-day community celebration July 15 to 18.
Barbecues and pancakes from great organizations like Tamarack Centre, EK Realty, Friends of the Library, Scotiabank or The Girl Guides of Canada or one of the many activities at the Western Financial Group’s Central Fairgrounds.
Activities at the Central Fairgrounds include the much- loved Strongman Competition brought to you by Fitness Inc, The Meant 2B Loved Wiener Races, BA Blacktop Inflatable Funland, Spring Honda’s Festival Tastes, Manitoulin Transport Market, Kootenay Kings Arm wrestling Competition or the Total Pet/ Pet Valu Saturday Showcase.
Check out a bocce game or better yet enter you team in the BA Blacktop Spirit of the Balls Bocce Tournament and enjoy a cold one at the Molson Coors Refreshment Gardens. After the market why not take the family roller skating at the curling centre.
Take in a game at the Kootenay Rovers soccer tournament or the Rockies Royale Slopitch Ball Tournament or beach volleyball at the College of the Rockies.
Friday night will be the Sweetheart Ambassador showcase at the Key City Theatre.
Saturday evening you won’t want to miss the Cranbrook Buck’s Destroyer Concert.
Round things out on Sunday with the community worship in the park, Father’s Day at the Fort or Cranbrook Firefighters Fishing Clinic.
