Spring Honda Fun Run a colourful success
The Spring Honda Fun Run held at Moir Park in Cranbrook June 5 saw approximately 600 participants who either did the five or 10 km course.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better day, the run was a huge success,” said run co-organizer Tegan Bova.
Organizers only anticipated about 500 to take part but they made it work.
Although the tally of funds raised for ALS isn’t known yet, the Royal Bank donated $2,000.
In addition to the run several took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge including Cpl. Chris Newel of the Kimberley RCMP, he was joined by Matt VanBoeyen from The DriveFM.
Organizers would like to thank all the participants and sponsors.
