St. Mary’s Sanitary Sewer Upgrades Phase 1 complete
Repaving Of Rotary Way early 2026
Construction on the St. Mary’s Sanitary Sewer Upgrades Phase 1 project is now complete, except for some final paving.
The project, completed by Gally Equipment, as part of the City of Cranbrook’s 2025 capital works program improves the capacity of the city’s sanitary sewer system in the St. Mary’s Catholic School area.
Because the ground remains too soft this fall, paving of this section of Rotary Way will be delayed until spring 2026. If paving were completed now, the asphalt would not hold up through the winter and would need to be redone in the spring.
The path will be open and able to be used by the public starting October 20, even without the paving complete.
Crews will finish the pathway restoration and pave as soon as ground conditions allow next spring to ensure a long-lasting surface for trail users.

The City of Cranbrook gratefully acknowledges the financial contributions of the Canada Community Building Fund (former Gas Tax Fund) toward all these important infrastructure projects.
