Supportive Stay At Home Gala this Saturday

The Cranbrook Stay At Home Gala on Saturday, May 2 has an amazing line-up of speakers and entertainers, coming together to support local non-profits on the frontlines of COVID-19.

Participants will buy a ticket at Cranbrook Stay At Home Gala and join the virtual event from the comfort of their own homes. It’s a fun chance to dress up, enjoy some great live entertainment, and support a great cause.

B-104 radio personality, Mike Donaldson, will emcee the local portion of the program, starting with the welcome and sign-in from 5:30-6 p.m. MT. Local musician, Keith Larsen, will share his musical stylings for this first half-hour.

From 6-7 p.m., the virtual gala will move into the national program, including hockey-great Hayley Wickenheiser, Lane Merrifield from the Dragon’s Den, and André Picard from The Globe and Mail. Musical entertainment includes the Hunter Brothers, Tanika Charles, and Once A Tree.

The Confluentials

The local program will run from 7 to 8 p.m. and will include a beverage demonstration from The Heid Out, Michele Bates from the Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies, Ginny Kristensen from the Cranbrook Salvation Army, local musicians “The Confluentials” (Barry Coulter and Christina Blaskovich), and comedian Sarah Stupar.

The Heid-Out Restaurant and Brewhouse will be providing delicious take-out dinner options for the Cranbrook Stay At Home Gala. Gala attendees can order from The Heid-Out’s online menu, including beer and wine, or from one of the Gala-specific specials, which need to be pre-ordered by Friday May 1 at 4:30 p.m. Orders can be placed by phoning The Heid-Out at 250-426-7922 OR 250-919-8641.

The online silent auction will open tomorrow, Thursday April 30 and can be previewed now.
