Symphony adds matinee for Winter’s Spell
The Symphony of the Kootenays is thrilled to announce an additional matinee performance of Winter’s Spell, a spectacular dance and symphony collaboration featuring the full Nutcracker Ballet, performed by local dancers from Stages School of Dance.
This announcement follows a remarkable start to the season, with both performances of Magic and Mystery (October 4 and 5) and our season finale Eternal Vibrations already sold out.
Magic and Mystery was a truly magical experience — the music, the atmosphere, and the energy in the theatre were unforgettable. Our audiences were engaged, enthusiastic, and deeply responsive, making it one of the most memorable weekends in recent Symphony history.
The original evening performance of Winter’s Spell has also sold out, prompting the addition of a matinee performance to meet the incredible demand.
Both performances of Winter’s Spell will take place on:
Saturday, November 29 at Key City Theatre in Cranbrook.
Matinee: 2 p.m.; Evening show: 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the matinee performance go on sale Friday, October 17 at www.sotk.ca and through the
Key City Theatre box office.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the community’s support and enthusiasm,” said Jeff Faragher, Music & Artistic Director of the Symphony of the Kootenays. “Adding a matinee gives more families and patrons the opportunity to experience the magic of Winter’s Spell and celebrate the season together.”
