Symphony celebrating 50 years of musical brilliance
The Symphony of the Kootenays is proudly celebrating its 50th season, marking five decades of bringing breathtaking orchestral performances to audiences across the Kootenay region.
With a legacy of excellence and artistic passion, the symphony is thrilled to unveil its spectacular lineup for the 2025/2026 season, offering music lovers four unforgettable concerts that showcase the magic of film, the beauty of ballet, the grandeur of Broadway, and the timeless brilliance of the classical greats.
Season passes are now available with a 20% Early Bird discount until June 15, inviting audiences to secure their seats for a journey through the symphonic wonders of history and imagination.
The 2025/2026 season includes:
Magic & Mystery – Immerse yourself in the spellbinding sounds of the greatest film music from the witching hour and beyond, featuring iconic selections from Harry Potter and other legendary cinematic masterpieces.
Winter’s Spell – A dazzling dance and orchestra spectacle in collaboration with Stages School of Dance, blending the enchantment of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker with beloved Christmas classics for a mesmerizing holiday experience.
Lights and Magic – A symphonic celebration of Broadway and opera, bringing the stage’s most electrifying musical moments to life in an evening filled with drama, passion, and unforgettable melodies.
Eternal Vibrations – Honouring the artistry of the greatest classical composers, this concert pays tribute to the timeless genius of Haydn, Beethoven, and Mozart, reminding us why their music continues to resonate through the ages.
