Work closing Jim Smith Lake Road crossing August 18
The Jim Smith Lake Road railway crossing will be fully closed on Friday, August 18 for required maintenance.
The crossing will be blocked by barricades as of 6 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. as crews complete the required maintenance.
Traffic can detour to Highway 3/95 or Cobham Avenue by using either the King Street or 6th Street N.
The McPhee Road railway crossing will also remain operational while the work is completed.
Minor delays can be expected during the duration of the Jim Smith Lake Road railway crossing closure.
The city thanks the public for their patience as CPKC (Canadian Pacific Kansas City) works on the railway crossing.
