1813 Cadets hold annual Ceremonial Review
The Cadets and Officers of the1813 Army Cadets, Fort Steele Company, would like to invite the public to witness the Annual Ceremonial Review. This year the review was at Fort Steele Heritage Town on Saturday June 2 at 12:30 p.m.
The reviewing officer Commander W. S. Bates arrived at 1 p.m. to begin the ceremony. Commander Bates and his wife were raised in Cranbrook and now reside in Esquimalt where he is the commander of the Regional Cadet Support Unit, Pacific Region.
Following the ceremony there will be displays and demonstrations by the cadets where the public will have an opportunity to speak to the youth involved about what they have been learning over the past year of training. Everything is expected to be wrapped up at ( 3 pm) when the cadets will begin getting ready for their formal dinner at the International Hotel where they will host about 40 dignitaries and invited guests.
