Area E volunteer celebration postponed
Electoral Area E Town Hall remains a go
An Electoral Area E Town Hall Meeting is being held on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wasa Community Hall as scheduled.
However, the Volunteer of the Year celebration planed for 7 p.m. has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
“We will be honouring our Area E Volunteers of the Year at an event in a few weeks,” said Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) communications director Loree Duczek.
“Again, this will not affect the Town Hall and we hope to see a great turn out from Area E residents to hear updates on a number of topics.”
Topics to be discussed at the Nov. 14 open house include:
Director’s Report;
Five Year Financial Plan;
Mosquito Control Program Wrap Up;
Short Term Rentals;
FireSmart / Emergency Preparedness;
Climate Action Plan;
Lazy Lake Water Level Control Service Taxation.
