CBKSAR rescues four on Bull River

Last night Cranbrook Search and Rescue (CBKSAR) was tasked to rescue two adults and two children who became stranded on the Bull River after losing their raft.

CBKSAR reported on its Facebook page there were no injuries, noting, “They were just simply stranded on the opposite side of the river from the road with a mountain at their backs.”

Four SAR members flew in with Bighorn Helicopters. Two members hover-exited onto a large rock on shore and were able to assist the four into the helicopter. The group was prepared and had a shelter built prior our arrival just in case, CBKSAR reported.
